Publish Date June 11, 2020
A young girl is targeted by evil forces to bring back the phantom curse. She must save her brother and avoid being captured to be used as the gateway for evil being unleashed.
I really enjoyed this read, however, I kept hoping for more. More background, more description, and more details. The story has some nice twists that keep you hanging in and guessing until the end. Overall, a fun read.
2. After Darkness by J.F. Johns ****/*****

Humans and Cyborgs are prohibited from any type of communication. Curfew is from 12 pm until 7:30 am. Any propaganda against the government of any kind is a crime. All of these rules, if broken, are punishable by death. Welcome to the Nation. Are you ready?
I actually could not stop reading this one! Cyborgs and humans unable to mingle.... forbidden love... a terrifying evil controlling the government... what's not to love? In all seriousness, this story sucked me in from the beginning. It's a completely different fantasy story than what I am used to, but I was not disappointed. Read this book! You will not regret it.
3. Son of Secrets - The indigo Chronicles Book 2 by N.J. Simmons ***/*****

A fallen angel destined to die and be born again over and over hoping to find his one true love every time. All the while, Lucifer (Luci), the fallen angel's mother is seeking her long lost son and destroying everything and everyone who tries to get in her way.
It was an entertaining read, but one that I found slightly lacking in plot depth.
4. The Court of Miracles by Kester Grant *****/*****

A young thief goes head to head with the leader's of Paris's criminal underground in the wake of the French Revolution. (Description from Amazon)
I absolutely loved this book! While some of the names and titles are a smidge difficult to follow, the story sucks you in and takes hold until it's 3 am and you've read the whole book in one sitting and no you are wondering what the heck have I done???? That may sound like a lot, but seriously, I could not put this book down. There are some books that just stand out, and come out on top of all the others. This is one of those books. The descriptions put you right into the Paris underground. It was amazing! I can't wait to buy this one when its released!
